Howell Woman Dies In Easter Morning Belmar Crash

A Howell woman was killed and her boyfriend was injured in an Easter morning crash on the Shark River bridge in Belmar.

Monmouth County authorities told the Asbury Park Press that 26-year-old Tiffany Soto of Howell died in the crash, which happened around 2 a.m. Sunday on Route 35 in Belmar, according to newsworks.org.

Soto was in a 2010 Honda Civic driven by her boyfriend, Edgar Martinez, who suffered a head injury. The two people in the other vehicle were not injured, according to newsworks.

After entering Route 35 from 8th Avenue, Martinez's vehicle collided with a 2014 Kia Forte, a northbound vehicle driven by Brandi Savastino, 30, who is pregnant, and a passenger, Joseph Savastino, according to the Asbury Park Press report. Both were not injured, according to newsworks.
