House Fire In Belmar Burns Second Story on 14th Avenue

Fire crews have blaze under control before midnight

A Belmar home's second story burned overnight as fire crews responded to the blaze, under control before midnight Friday.

The fire had Belmar Fire fighters using ladder trucks to extinguish the flames toward the front of the home on the 400 block of 14th Avenue, with Avon and West Belmar providing mutual aid.

First responders arrived to a working fire with heavy smoke conditions out of the second story window, and erected ladders from the ground with a ladder truck providing access above the roof.
