Cops: Homeless Man Broke Into Resident's Shed

Arrested in Belmar last week, made first appearance in Superior Court Monday

A homeless man made his initial appearance in Superior Court Monday after he was arrested in Belmar last week for allegedly breaking into a shed in a borough resident's backyard, documents show. 

Darren Guarino, 43, was arrested May 4 after police said they found he had unlawfully entered the shed in the 500 block of 13th Avenue, the criminal complaint says. 

Guarino also faces criminal mischief charges for allegedly breaking the shed door, and was charged with preventing law enforcement from effecting an arrest, the complaint says.

His bail was set at $2500, documents show.
