Four Improper Behavior Arrests Last Month

Belmar police report mid-September activity

Belmar police last month arrested four individuals for improper behavior, authorities said. 

All but one of the individuals charged were from out of town, while the fourth was a Belmar resident, according to a release by police. 

The following arrests took place between Sept. 10 and 23: 

  • Michael Yehia, 21, of Staten Island, N.Y., was arrested Sept. 16 at 18th and Ocean Avenues. Special Officer Chris Makwinsky made the arrest.  
  • Brittany Ballerino, 24, of Belmar, was arrested Sept. 16 at 18th and Ocean Avenues. Special Officer Aaron Lay made the arrest.  
  • Michael Higgins, 28, of Wakefield, R.I., was arrested Sept. 22 at Borough Hall on Main Street. Officer Erik Lieb made the arrest.  
  • Gregory Sonday, 24, of New Egypt, was arrested Sept. 23 in the 1300 block of Main Street. Officer Erik Lieb made the arrest.
