Belmar Woman Indicted On Theft, Fencing Charges

Indictment stems from June incident in Middletown.

A Belmar woman has been indicted on theft and fencing charges stemming from an June arrest, according to court documents.

Alexis N. Taylor, 25, of Route 71, was indicted Wednesday in connection with a June 25 jewelry theft from a home in Middletown. More than $500 in jewelry was taken from the home, according to the indictiment.

Taylor also was indicted on third degree fencing charges for attempting to sell the jewelry in Eatontown later the same day, according to the indictment.
