Belmar Police Arrest 15 for Improper Behavior

Belmar police during the first half of August made 15 arrests for improper behavior and other offenses, authorities said. 

Several individuals charged with improper behavior were also charged with resisting arrest, according to a release from the Belmar Police Department. 

Two were also charged with assaulting police officers, the release says. 

The following individuals were arrested by borough police between July 30 and Aug. 12: 

• Liam Thomas, 23, of Spring Lake Heights, was arrested July 30 at Eighth Avenue and Main Street and charged with improper behavior and resisting arrest. Special Officer Ryan Bradley made the arrest. 

• Douglas Tindal, 24, of Red Bank, was arrested Aug. 1 at Tenth and Railroad Avenues and charged with obstruction, improper behavior and resisting arrest. Special Officer Brandon Cox made the arrest. 

• Thomas Bittel, 25, of Wall, was arrested Aug. 2 at the Belmar Marina and charged with improper behavior. Special Officer Rocco Belloni made the arrest. 

• Nathaniel Hyden, 61, of Belmar, was arrested Aug. 2 at 12th Avenue and Main Street and charged with improper behavior. Officers Michael Campbell and Ryan Nolan made the arrest. 

• Anthony Treglia, 25, of Staten Island, N.Y., was arrested Aug. 4 at 18th and Ocean Avenues and charged with improper behavior and resisting arrest. Special Officer Anthony Steneck made the arrest.  

• Colin Elliot, 24, of Newark, was arrested Aug. 4 in the 100 block of 18th Avenue and charged with criminal trespass and improper behavior. Special Officer Matthew Brown made the arrest. 

• Christopher Barone, 24, of Hasbrouck Heights, was arrested Aug. 4 at 18th and Ocean Avenues and charges with improper behavior and resisting arrest. Special Officer Ryan Bradley made the arrest. 

• Sean Canaley, 21, of Howell, was arrested Aug. 4 in the 1800 block of Ocean Avenue and charged with improper behavior. Officer Michael Yee made the arrest.  

• Jessica Zigarelli, 22, of East Warren, was arrested Aug. 8 in the 800 block of 16th Avenue and charged with improper behavior, resisting arrest and assault on police. Special Officer Shawn Wilson made the arrest.  

• Sophia Lugero, 25, of Staten Island, N.Y., was arrested Aug. 10 in the 1800 block of Ocean Avenue and charged with improper behavior. Special Officer Anthony Steneck made the arrest. 

• Michael Illgass, 29, of Kennet Square, Penn., was arrested Aug. 11 at 19th and Surf Avenues and charged with improper behavior. Special Officer Rocco Belloni made the arrest.  

• Daniel Wiener, 34, of Staten Island, N.Y., was arrested Aug. 11 at 17th and Ocean Avenues and charged with resisting arrest, assault on police and improper behavior. Special Officer Rocco Belloni made the arrest.  

• John Meola, 21, of Staten Island, N.Y., was arrested Aug. 11 at 17th and Ocean Avenues and charged with improper behavior. Special Officer Rocco Belloni made the arrest.  

• Justin Regina, 23, of Staten Island, N.Y., was arrested Aug. 11 at 17th and Ocean Avenues and charged with improper behavior. Special Officer Rocco Belloni made the arrest.  

• Michael Lightner, 30, of Trenton, was arrested Aug. 12 at Seventh Avenue and Main Street and charged with improper behavior. Special Officer Christopher Inglis made the arrest.  

• Timothy Lightner, 35, of Trenton, was arrested Aug. 12 at Seventh Avenue and Main Street and charged with obstruction. Special Officer Ryan Maguire made the arrest. 

• Violet Chambers, 52, of Lawrenceville, was arrested Aug. 12 at Seventh Avenue and Main Street and charged with improper behavior. Special Officer Ryan Maguire made the arrest.  

• Anthony Chambers, 28, of Lawrenceville, was arrested Aug. 12 at Seventh Avenue and Main Street and charged with improper behavior. Special Officer Ryan Maguire made the arrest.  

• Joseph Iglass, 26, of Kennet Square, Penn., was arrested Aug. 12 in the 600 block of 16th Avenue and charged with improper behavior. Officer Erik Lieb made the arrest.
