Assault Charges For Neptune Man Stem From Belmar Incident

A Neptune man will face aggravated assault charges stemming from a May incident in Belmar.

A Neptune man was indicted by a Monmouth County grand jury Monday and charged with two counts of aggravated assault, among other charges, court documents says. 

Sherman D. Baskerville Jr., 22, of Gary Drive, was indicted on two counts of second degree aggravated assault and making terroristic threats stemming from an incident on May 6, according to the indictment.

Baskerville threatened to kill one man and caused or attempted to cause serious injury to two people during the incident, the indictment says.
