20 Year-Old Spring Lake Man Arrested on Multiple Drug Charges, Assault on Police

The Spring Lake Police Chief Edward M. Kerr, Jr. reports the following activity for December:

On December 7th, Ptl. Michael Palmer, Sgt. Anthony Ploskonka, and Det. Sgt. Timothy Giblin responded to the 000 block of York Avenue for a burglary and theft to a residence.

On December 7th, Det. Sgt. Timothy Giblin took a report of theft of copper from a business in the 500 block of Monmouth Avenue.  On December 21st, Daniel Menke 24 of Neptune City was arrested and charged with two counts of theft from the business on December 5th and December 8th.  Menke was logged in the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of bail.

December 13th, Det. Sgt. Timothy Giblin received a report of harassment from a resident in the 000 block of Pennsylvania.

December 13th, Sgt. Steven Blecki responded to the 300 block of Fourth Avenue for a vandalism complaint.

On December 19th, Ptl. James Heine responded to the 300 block of Ludlow Avenue for a report of vandalism to the apron of a driveway.

 On December 21st, Ptl. Michael Palmer responded to the 300 block of Pitney Avenue for a report of a theft from a motor vehicle.

On December 22nd, Ptl. Michael Palmer responded to the 300 block of Madison Avenue for two reports of theft.

On December 23, Zachary Januszanis 20, of Spring Lake was arrested following a motor vehicle stop by S.O. David Bowen.  Januszanis was charged with resisting arrest, possession of controlled dangerous substance, possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia, distribution of controlled dangerous substance within 500 feet of a park, possession of controlled dangerous substance with the intent to distribute, aggravated assault on a police officer, possession of alcohol under the legal age, breach of peace.  Ptl. Emmett Smith and Ptl. Ryan Reiff assisted in the arrest.  Januszanis was transported to Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of bail.

On December 27th, Ptl. Emmett Smith responded to a business on Third Avenue for a dispute.  Parties were able to come to an agreement.

On December 29th, Humberto Castruita-Chavez 21, of Freehold was arrested by Ptl. Ryan Reiff following a motor vehicle stop.  Castruita-Chavez was charged with driving while intoxicated as well as other motor vehicle offences.

On December 29th, Ptl. Emmett Smith received a report of vandalism in the 400 block of Mercer Avenue.

On December 31st, Sgt. Patrick Gilroy responded to the 000 block of Brown Avenue for vandalism to a motor vehicle.
