Rible: Local Jobs Improving in Private Sector for December

Assemblyman David Rible, R-Monmouth and Ocean, released the following statement regarding New Jersey's recent job report:

Assembly Republican Conference Leader David Rible, R-Monmouth and Ocean, said Thursday’s jobs report by the U.S. Dept. of Labor showing private sector employment in New Jersey increased by 30,900 in December is a sign of business confidence in New Jersey and that the state is rebounding from the effects of Superstorm Sandy. 

The latest data marks the state’s largest single monthly employment gain since job numbers were tracked starting in 1990.

“The news that companies are once again hiring should spur further employment growth in the private sector,” said Rible. “Job creation starts with confidence and optimism by the business community about their opportunities for success. Our pro-business attitude that listens to companies’ concerns is working. Our goal must be to sustain the momentum indicated by these numbers.

“I intend to continue my business roundtable outreach throughout the state this year which has been well-received by companies,” continued Rible. “Exchanging ideas and having a continuous dialogue gives job creators hope and confidence that government is doing all it can to help them.”

Rible said he will announce the next venue for his breakfast roundtable shortly.
