Joseph S Buzzanga, of Manasquan, Dies At 92

Joseph S Buzzanga, 92 of Manasquan passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday October 9, 2013.

Born in Oyster Bay, Long Island, he was raised in NYC and lived in Saddlebrook, NJ and Oakland, NJ before moving to Manasquan in 1997. Joe proudly served his country during WWII. He enlisted in the Army in 1942 and earned 5 bronze stars during combat in the European theatre. After the war he worked as a truck driver for a number of firms in the NY metropolitan area.

Joe enjoyed all sports, but his special passion was the Yankees. He was a life-long fan of the Bronx Bombers and idolized Lou Gehrig as a young man. Joe was an avid golfer, bowler and bocce player. He loved dogs and doted on his various canine companions through the years. But above all, he was a family man who loved nothing more than being with his children and grandchildren. Joe will be greatly missed by his family, friends and his dog, Snowy.

Mr. Buzzanga was predeceased by his beloved wife Ella in 2012. He is survived by his son Joseph and daughter-in-law, Heidi of Middletown; his daughter Betsy Dell’Isola of Colts Neck and his 4 Grandchildren, Brett, Allison, John, and Jennifer.

Friends and Family are invited to visit on Monday, October 14, 2013 from 2-4 & 6-8pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals 2643 Old Bridge Road Manasquan, NJ 08736. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday October 15, 2013 at 9:30 am at St. Denis RC Church, Manasquan. Interment will be private.
