Performing Arts Idol Hosted by Performing Arts Ensemble of NJ

Performing Arts Ensemble of NJ, 501(c)3
not-for-profit arts organization, will host its first ever Performing Arts Idol at the Algonquin Arts Theater (173 Main Street, Manasquan, NJ) on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at 3pm.

The
mission of Performing Arts Idol is to bring together, showcase and provide
opportunities for exposure for New Jersey’s great talent from a variety of
performing arts disciplines. The event will take the form of a major
awards show, featuring production numbers and entertainment interspersed
throughout contestant performances, as well as a “red carpet.” 

The contest will be judged by
a panel of distinguished experts and audience approval with awards and a cash
Grand Prize.

The Performing Arts Ensemble
is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit arts organization that brings together talented
young dancers from New York and New Jersey combined with NY guest artists and
children chosen by audition to put on large cast, fully staged performances
with professional scenery, elaborate costumes and special effects. The Ensemble
was founded by artistic director Evelyn Gardell in 1987. As a non-profit dance
company, it is a member of the Monmouth County Arts Council as well as Dance
New Jersey. The company has performed at many theaters, including The
Paramount, The Strand, Count Basie, Monmouth University, Union County Arts
Center, Two River Theater, Millstone PAC, Tribeca Performing Arts Center, BMCC
NYC, Walt Disney World, Lincoln Center, Webster Hall and Carnegie Hall. To
