Point Boro Man Charged in Brielle Shooting, Has First Court Appearance

The man charged with shooting a 35-year-old woman in the parking lot of the Sand Bar restaurant in Brielle early Tuesday morning will make his initial appearance in court later today, officials with the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office said.

Louis Cataldo, a 62-year-old Point Pleasant Borough man, is facing charges of attempted murder and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose in connection with the shooting incident.

He will appear at 1:30 p.m. in the courtroom of Monmouth County Superior Court Judge Honora O’Brien Kilgallen, J.S.C. in the Monmouth County Courthouse, announced Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.
