Minor Traffic Accident Slowing Belmar Traffic Sunday

A late morning accident was slowing traffic in Belmar Sunday. Police reported clearing the scene after 11 a.m. near C Street and 9th Avenue for minor injuries in a crash earlier today.

Traffic on Route 71 was also slow this morning, heading to and from the intersection with Allaire Road, whether into Spring Lake or Wall. In Brielle, the right shoulder remains closed near Union Lane on Route 71 northbound for ongoing scheduled construction.

Elsewhere locally, the junctions at Route 138 near the Garden State Parkway and I-195 were also experiencing traffic due to heavy volume at 11:30 a.m.

Heavy volume begins south of mile 87 on the Garden State Parkway northbound currently.
