Manasquan School Board to Interview for Board Vacancy, Discuss Superintendent Search

6 p.m. June 25 meeting

The Manasquan School Board will decide who should fill an empty board seat after conducting interviews at tonight's school board meeting.

The school board has a vacancy created by the departure of Michele LaSala, former board president. The district has been soliciting the public, and had a deadline recently for anyone who wanted to be considered. The chosen person will serve through the end of the year. A seat for an unexpired term is on the November election.

Tonight's Manasquan School Board meeting will also discuss a formal report on the search for the district's superintendent. Last meeting, the firm paid to facilitate the search gave an unofficial report. This meeting will present a formal report.

The meeting is 6 p.m. in the high school auditorium.
