Belmar Pro Surf Contest Begins

Weekend of events accompanies surfing competition

The Belmar Pro returns to the Jersey Shore this weekend and promises to be bigger than ever.

Thus far, the surf conditions forecasted are less than ideal.

Swellinfo.com is calling for wave heights in the 3 foot range on Thursday with slightly bigger waves on Friday afternoon. Conditions could get sloppy on Saturday with predicted north-northeast winds on Saturday. The finals could prove especially challenging with wave heights to fall to 2 feet and north winds to continue.
