Stax, Eight Tracks and Toy Racks at Asbury Lanes

Whether it's the warm pop of a vintage Stax Record, the fiery red-orange mane of the leader of the Thundercats, or the nuclear pink flowers on a mod shift dress that excites you, Sunday's event at Asbury Lanes would raise the eyebrows of many a collector.

Tables of vintage superhero masks, 1980s WWF wrestling t-shirts, Doc Martin boots and handmade earrings were among the diverse offerings. But expanding your record collection was the centerpiece of the afternoon event, held at the vintage bowling alley, bar and live music venue in Asbury Park. Crates upon crates lined tables and floors as shoppers poured over offerings in between trips to the bar or Snack World Inferno short order grill inside the Lanes.

Here's a short video from a day at the Asbury Lanes' Flea Market and Record Swap. The venue hosts the special day sporadically throughout the year, courting unique vendors and varied buyers to its hardwood floors, lining up tables of merchandise leading up to the bowling lanes and stage.
