Federici's Set for Belmar Expansion

Another location to open in the spring.

By Adam Hochron

For many years Federici’s has been a staple of the downtown Freehold food scene and now the popular restaurant has its sights set on Belmar this spring.

According to a story in the Asbury Park Press a new location, called Federici’s on 10th, will open in the spot formerly occupied by Vesuvio’s and combine aspects of the two popular restaurants including a well known salad from the previous owner's menu.

Owner Michael Federici is quoted in the story saying he is excited for the restaurant to start a new chapter in its long history. “We heard that a great location was available in Belmar, and it presented a perfect opportunity to open another location.”

The new restaurant already has its own Facebook page where fans can track the progress of construction and get information on when the official opening will be.

That's great news. Federici's has the best pizza in this area, tied with Pete And Elda's. And I'm happy to hear they'll be including Vesuvio's Jimmy salad on the menu.
