Winter Storm Warning Issued for Manasquan And Belmar

Don't get too used to the weekend's mild weather.

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a winter storm warning for parts of Central and Southern New Jersey, including Middlesex, Mercer, Monmouth and Ocean counties. The alert is in effect from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday.

Rain will change to sleet or snow between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. before becoming snow by 6 a.m. Snow accumulations of between 4 and 6 inches are expected, with the snow heavy at times between 6 a.m. and noon, according to the NWS. The snow will taper off to flurries by mid-afternoon

The high for the day will be near 34 and the overnight low will be 21.
