The Weekend's Best Nightlife

A look at the best in Jersey Shore nightlife for the weekend of July 1 to July 4

It's hard to believe it's already Independence Day weekend, but celebrate we will! Here are some great ideas for spicing up your Fourth of July holiday.

Harrigan’s Pub, 703 Baltimore Blvd, Sea Girt

“Failze,” or “welcome” has been the slogan at this pub since 1981. A cozy, yet bustling place, Harrigan’s provides good times all around.

  • Saturday: Live music by Blue Sky Duo.
  • Sunday: Music by Billy Hector at 7:30 p.m.

Boathouse, 1309 Main St, Belmar

The mother of all shore bars, Boathouse is a nautically-themed haven for surfers and beach-goers. They have killer drink specials and nightly entertainment.

  • Friday: Joe Baracata Band performs live at 9 p.m. Drink specials include: $1.75 domestic drafts, $2.50 domestic bottles and $3.50 premium drafts from open to 6 p.m., and $2.50 Bud and Bud Lights, $4 rum and cokes from 6 p.m. to close.
  • Saturday: Rory Daniels Band plays at 9p.m. Drink specials include: $4 Bloody Marys, $3 Miller Lite bottles from open to 4 p.m. and $3 Sam Adams drafts and $4 Three Olives drinks from 6 p.m. to close.

507 Main, 507 Main Street, Belmar

507 is nothing fancy, but thats why we love it. They have an amazing happy hour, a great back room with live music and late night DJs, and a tv-lined bar to watch all the big games.

  • Friday: Live music with Threat Level Midnight. All beers are $2.50 from 4 to 7 p.m.
  • Saturday: Joe Baracata Band plays live. All beers are $2.50 from 3 to 7 p.m.

One of the biggest and wildest shore clubs, Bar A has a wide spread of sand bars, cabanas, tiki bars, and club floors. It is the place to be all summer long.

  • Friday:  Music by the The Amish Outlaws and DJ Mike. $2.75 Bud and Bud Lights and $2 drinks from 9 to 11 p.m., plus award winning happy hour with $2.25 pints from 4 to 9 p.m. with DJ Billy Reybert and DJ Mike. Free admission until 9 p.m.
  • Sunday: Independence Day Band BBQ starting at 2 p.m. with Almost Easy, A True Story, Someone Say Something, Under Pressure, Naked Twister, and more. $2.75 Miller Lites until 11 p.m., free BBQ from 2 to 6 p.m., free admission until 4 p.m.

History of this historical house goes back over a century as a boarding house. Today it serves as casual restaurant and bar just a few blocks from Manasquan’s beaches.

  • Friday: 80’s dance party at 10 p.m.with DJ Jersey Joe. From noon to 8 p.m. there is the Fantastic Five Happy Hour with $5 menu, $5 pitchers, and $5 martinis. 6 to 9p.m. drink specials include $3 well drinks, $5 bombs, and $2.50 Coors Lights.
  • Saturday: Off the beach happy hour with $3.50 Coronas, $4 frozen drinks, $4 Bloody Marys and mimosas, $2.50 Miller Lites. DJ Chris dance party.
