The Weekend's Best Nightlife

Summer is in full swing folks, so get out there and make the most of it!

Boathouse, 1309 Main St, Belmar

The mother of all shore bars, Boathouse is a nautically-themed haven for surfers and beach-goers. They have killer drink specials and nightly entertainment.

• Friday: Open to 6p.m. $1.75 domestic drafts, $2.50 domestic bottles, $3.50 premium drafts. Live entertainment begins at 9p.m. 6p.m.-close: $2.50 Bud and Bud Lights, $4 rum and cokes.

• Saturday: Open to 4p.m. $4 Bloody Marys, $3 Miller Lite bottles. 6p.m. to close $3.00 Sam Adams drafts and $4 Three Olives drinks. Live music by The Groove.

This small and simple pub is a well known spot among locals and summer residents. You can find live entertainment here on weekends and bar games weekly.

• Friday: Live music with Fast Clare. Happy hour runs from 3 to 7 p.m.

• Saturday: Shore favorites, Barry and the Penetrators perform live. Happy hour runs from 12 to 7 p.m.

• Sunday: Bingo Sundays are back at PK’s with $1 Miller Lite mugs. Bingo starts at 1 p.m. Breakfast specials include steak and eggs with a Bloody Mary or mimosa for $11.95. Sunday Funday specials include $1.75 domestic pints, $2.75 domestic bottles, and $4 mixed well drinks.

The Irish Rail, 229 East Main St, Manasquan

The Irish Rail is conveniently located at the Manasquan train station. They specialize in burgers, stews, and Irish breakfast. Happy hour is Monday through Friday from 11a.m. to 7p.m.

• Thursday: Irish Night with $3 Guinness, Smithwick, and Harp. Buy one get one free reubens and corned beef sandwiches. Live Irish music from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

• Friday: $2.50 Coors Lights and live music at 8 p.m.

• Saturday: $2.50 Miller Lite drafts and bottles, live music at 8:30 p.m.

Edgar’s is a great family spot for dinner, and also a party haven in the summer. With weekend entertainment, rows of big screen tvs, and late night DJs, you can see why this pub would get packed.

• Friday: Happy hour from 7 to 11 p.m. with $2 Coors Light. DJ’s will be spinning today’s hit music for a late night party beginning at 9 p.m.

• Saturday: Happy hour from 7 to 11 p.m. with $2 Bud and Bud Lights. Guinco’s Market will be performing an acoustic session live.

Leggett’s Sand Bar is one of the most popular and bustling clubs at the Shore. Their daily drink specials are usually some of the best.

• Friday: $2 happy hour from 4 to 8 p.m. and $2 Coors Lights from noon to closing.  Turnpike Mike and Randy on the patio starting at 5 p.m.

• Saturday: Overboard Trio on the patio from 1 to 5 p.m. Bud Bingo from 2 to 5 p.m. Prime rib night from 5 to 10 p.m. with $2 Bud and Bud Lights all day. $5 Jack Daniels Honey drinks from noon to 6 p.m.

• Sunday: Blu Sky Duo with Jim Long on the patio from 2 to 6 p.m. Under Pressure at 10 p.m.
