The Weekend's Best Nightlife

A look at the best in Jersey Shore nightlife for the weekend of May 14 to May 16

Memorial Day is fast approaching so hit up these popular spots and take advantage of the local treatment before the tourist flood in!

One of the biggest and wildest shore clubs, Bar A has a wide spread of sand bars, cabanas, tiki bars, and club floors. It is the place to be all summer long.

  • Friday: Happy hour from 4-9pm with $2.25 pints plus DJ Billy Reybert & DJ Mike will be starting the party. Live music with Someone Say Something at 10pm with $2.00 Bud and Bud Lights all night and $2.25 drinks until midnight.
  • Saturday: Beginning at 9pm: $2.75 Miller Lites all night. At 10pm: VIP Renewal Card Party II (last chance to trade in your old card for a new one.) Whiskey Fueled will be performing live.

A large Irish pub and restaurant, Connolly Station has it all--from late night dancing to Sunday football.

  • Friday: Paul Cliniski plays his Happy Hour in Paradise beginning at 5pm with free buffett. DJ Dave will be spinning in the back room and Temporary Grace will be live in the main room.
  • Saturday: Toxic Twins Happy Hour with $2.50 Miller Lites and $3.00 Long Trail IPAs. Also performing will be The Pickles. DJ AK will be spinning in back room at 10pm.

History of this historical house goes back over a century as a boarding house. Today it serves as casual restaurant and bar just a few blocks from Manasquan’s beaches.

  • Friday: Fantastic Five Happy Hour with $5.00 menu, $5.00 pitchers, and $5.00 martinis and live entertainment at 6pm, local bands at 10pm. Drink specials include $2.50 Lites, MGD 64 & High Life, $3 Bacardi drinks all night. Pat Roddy will be performing at 6pm.
  • Saturday: The Barkside Jive will be performing live at 6pm. 

Named after a park in Dublin, this enchanting pub and Irish restaurant is one of the most authentic in the state. There are daily menu specials and weekend live entertainment.

  • Friday: Live entertainment by Guinco Market at 9:30pm. 
  • Sunday: Live entertainment by Sean Hennessey at 6pm.

D’Arcy’s Tavern, 310 Main St, Bradley Beach

Bradley Beach’s warm and welcoming neighborhood pub, D’Arcy’s appeals mainly to those shore soccer fans and locals. They usually host bands on the weekends, and have daily menu specials.

  • Friday: Soccer championship playoff games at at 2:45pm.
  • Saturday: Live music by Rivercats. Supporter Appreciation Day with ½ off all breakfast items from 7:30am to 12:30pm. 

The Irish Rail, 229 East Main St, Manasquan

The Irish Rail is conveniently located at the Manasquan train station. They specialize in burgers, stews, and Irish breakfast. Happy hour is Monday through Friday from 11am to 7pm.

  • Friday: $2.50 Coors Lites and live music at 8pm.
  • Saturday: $2.50 Miller Lite drafts and bottles, live music at 8:30pm.
