The Weekend's Best Nightlife

A look at the best in Jersey Shore nightlife for the weekend of April 29 -May 1

If you're looking to save a few bucks without compromising fun, read our suggestions below for weekend drink specials and local live entertainment.

Leggett’s Sand Bar is one of the most popular and bustling clubs at the Shore. Their daily drink specials are usually some of the best.

  • Thursday: The return of “Leggett’s Bud Bingo” at 9pm with $2.00 Bud and Bud Light, prizes, and giveaways.
  • Friday: $2.00 happy hour from 4 to 8 p.m. and $2.00 Coors Light from noon to closing. The Bobby Lynch Band will be performing live at 10pm.
  • Saturday: Prime rib night from 5-10pm with $2.00 Bud and Bud Light all day. Under Pressure will be performing live at 10 p.m.

A laid back and casual bar, Paul’s attracts mostly locals, and is one of the only taverns that kick off happy hour at 7 a.m. daily.

Thursday: Jr. Paul from 7 to 10pm and beer pong games.

Saturday: DJ T-Dogg in front room with no cover.

Happy hour runs everyday of the week from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., except Sunday which runs from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

One of the biggest and wildest shore clubs, Bar A has a wide spread of sand bars, cabanas, tiki bars, and club floors. It is the place to be all summer long.

A large Irish pub and restaurant, Connolly Station has it all, from late night dancing to Sunday football.

  • Friday: Paul Cliniski Happy Hour beginning at 5 p.m. with free buffett. DJ Dave and DJ Pat Roddy will be spinning at 10 p.m.
  • Saturday: Toxic Twins Happy Hour with $2.50 Miller Lites and $3.00 Long Trail IPAs. DJ AK will be spinning in back room at 10 p.m. along with Big Baby Ernie at 10 p.m. in front.

The history of this house goes back over a century as a boarding house. Today it serves as casual restaurant and bar just a few blocks from Manasquan’s beaches.

  • Thursday: Live happy hour entertainment with Billy Harry and Joel at 6 p.m. $2.00 Heineken and Heineken Lights from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Beach House Bingo with DJ Hal with $2.50 Coors Light Bottles 8 p.m. to close.
  • Friday: Fantastic Five Happy Hour with $5.00 menu, $5.00 pitchers, and $5.00 martinis and live entertainment at 6 p.m., local bands at 10 p.m. Drink specials include $2.50 Lites, MGD 64 & High Life, $3 Bacardi drinks all night.

Named after a park in Dublin, this enchanting pub and Irish restaurant is one of the most authentic in the state. There are daily menu specials and weekend live entertainment.
