St. Patrick's Day Party Guide

Heading out to celebrate St. Patrick's Day? Check out what some of these area bars have planned for the holiday!

 — On Saturday Connolly Station will open its doors at 8 a.m. and will be serving Irish breakfast. There will be live entertainment all day with traditional Irish favorites and bagpipers. For lunch and dinner they’ll have corned beef for the festivities, plus Irish specialties such as shepherd’s pie, Guinness beef stew and fish and chips.

 — Is there a better way to celebrate St. Paddy's than with one of the best party bands? Big Bang Baby will rock Bar Anticipation starting at 10 p.m. Saturday with $2.75 Miller Lites all night. They’ll have tons of giveaways, “and a sea of green parties like you have never seen.”

 — This popular night spot will undoubtedly host a bustling party for St. Paddy’s Day. Leggett’s will have Irish music as well as the popular Mike Dalton Band at 10 p.m. Saturday, prizes and giveaways, and corned beef and cabbage. You can also check them out on Facebook for daily specials.

 — PK’s is always a popular destination during March. It will be opening at 11 a.m. Saturday with corned beef and drink specials all day. Reggae-rock shore sensations Barry and the Penetrators will be performing live at 10 p.m. PK’s will be continuing the party on Sunday with Shamrock Bingo at 1:30 p.m. Bingo specials include $1 Bud and Bud Light mugs all day and $3 apple pie shots. There will be prizes and shot specials, as well.

— Howell’s neighborhood bar and grill will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with specials on corned beef and Killians from Thursday to Sunday. Thursday night also will feature Bar Bingo at 9 p.m. with $3 Three Olives drinks and ½-price pizza (plain or margherita only.)

The Wonder Bar, 1213 Ocean Ave., Asbury Park — One of the best Celtic party bands on the East coast, The Fighting Jamesons, will play a special St. Patty’s Day show on Thursday at the Wonder Bar in Asbury Park. The group performs music of all kinds — their own originals, traditional standards and Celtic punk rock covers. Tickets are $10 advance, $15 at the door and can be purchased here.
