Porta-Potty Problems In Belmar?

Common Sense For Belmar website takes aim at placement of portable toilet

The 28th Annual New Jersey Seafood Festival returns to Belmar this weekend. But it's not the events that are causing much of the noise.

The website Common Sense For Belmar claims that, for the Seafood Festival, one portable toilet was placed in front of the house of Joy DeSanctis, spokeswoman for the Let the Citizens Decide petitioners and prominent critic of Belmar Mayor Matt Doherty.

"In all the years of Seafood Festivals no porta-potty was ever put in front of anyone’s house," according to the website. "This disgusting act of political revenge is something Sharp James or Robert Mugabe might do, but it has no place in Belmar."
