It's the Weekend! Here's a look at a few great events happening this weekend!

Saturday

Avon-by-the-Sea will host its annual sand castle building contest on the beach at Norwood Avenue on Saturday beginning at 8:30 a.m.

Manasquan's downtown business district will be on display this weekend as the Chamber of Commerce sponsors Sidewalk Sale Days.

Sunday

For the 20th year, Sea Girt will host its annual 5k race. This year's running will feature a tribute to the men and women of the United States Armed Forces. The race begins at 8:30 a.m.

Abe Voorhees Drive will host the Manasquan Seniors Berry Festival and Craft Show on Sunday. The event, which runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., is open to all.

Saturday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. South wind between 7 and 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. 

Saturday Night: Showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Low around 74. South wind between 15 and 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible. 

Sunday: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 2 p.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 84. Southwest wind between 13 and 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible. 

Sunday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 73. Northwest wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
