ST. ROSE, BELMAR

Father Doug Freer, who has spoken before, will be our speaker for June.  You may remember that Father was an Episcopalian priest before being ordained as a Catholic priest in 2007.  He is now serving as the Pastor at Saint Rose and has recently been appointed as the Vicar for Education for the Diocese of Trenton.  We wish him much luck with this new position.

Father Doug will speak about the “Mission of Catholic Education and its Challenges”.  With education funding issues and the closing of many catholic schools in NJ, Father’s talk will be enlightening and timely.

Additionally at our meeting, Jim Manhardt will hand out complimentary copies of Mathew Kelly’s book “Rediscover Catholicism” to everyone attending. 1200 copies of the book were distributed at the Catholic Men’s Day that Jim organized in January for the Dioceses of Palm Beach Florida.

Please come join us and benefit from an informative talk, receive an interesting book,

and enjoy good company.

Our meeting will begin promptly at 7:30 a.m. with a breakfast of fresh bagels and spreads, hot coffee         and tea, orange juice, and bananas.  We will end at our normal time of 8:30 a.m.

Cordially,

John Sr.
