The 28th Annual New Jersey Seafood Festival returns to Belmar this weekend.
The event will be Friday 4 to 8 p.m., Sat 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sun 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Silver Lake Park 5th & Ocean Ave.
In the past, the festival has been saluted as Belmar's marquee event, presented by the Belmar Tourism Commission.
Visitors have enjoyed offerings from the state's top restaurants, craft wines and beers, a children's activity tent and live music. There have also been free-to-ride shuttles and continuously-running shuttles that made stops at the marina, downtown area, train station and festival grounds, officials said.

Admission to the festival is always free.
Parking, however, could be a premium as visitors not taking public transportation into town are encouraged to park in the metered spaces along Ocean Avenue, or anywhere near a shuttle stop to prevent heavy traffic near the festival.
