HERE WE GO FOLKS!!! Now the personal negative campaign against an outspoken concerned resident whoRead Moreh as the courage to stand up to her convictions begins full scale. Yes, please read the article. Then perhaps we can all learn something even more unpleasant about politics. We can learn that if you have the nerve to print your name in full when you disagree, the powers that be will turn to attack mode. We can learn that having a Council with an overwhelming majority of any one political party does not encourage discussion and compromise nor real democracy. We learn the tactic of deflection is used to take the heat off the unveiling of facts and figures. I for one am even more impressed with Joy DeSanctis after reading that article. To stand by your convictions when you know there is a chance that attacks on your character and reputation will be a very strong possibility is what true leadership is all about. To stand up for what you believe in is to be commended, not ridiculed. Oh and by the way, the "group" that the poster "Belmar Resident" (no real name reveal there huh?) has NEVER EVER said anything about being opposed to rebuilding the Belmar Pavilions!!!!!!!! This is all about the August 19th Vote in Belmar! VOTE NO!!! Remember the question is NOT A YES OR NO VOTE ON REBUILDING THE PAVILIONS. IT IS ABOUT BONDING 7 MILLION DOLLARS!!!!!!!!! VOTE NO!!! My name is Katrina Clapsis and I live in and love Belmar!!

Over 50% to much!
Joy DeSanctis July 20, 2014 at 08:50 AM
The engineering costs on the pavilions to date is $1,035,501.00. Something is terribly wrong withRead Morewh at is happening in Belmar regarding spending residents' money. Over one million dollars just for engineering? From all accounts by professionals in engineering who now have had the opportunity to review the numbers confirmed this amount of money is appalling and inconsistent with industry standards.
