Religious Right Extremists in NJ

Like many people, I was under the impression that religious right extremist Republicans only lived in the middle of the county, or Arizona where the heat seemingly affects common sense. But then a friend posted a YouTube video showing NJ Republican Chris Smiths views on birth control. He believes using birth control pills is murder. In fact, he wants to criminalize birth control putting women in jail for planning when they get pregnant. This doesn’t make any sense!

Having children should be a privilege, something people want and have the means to support. No one can be forced into loving something they don’t want. Aren’t there enough maladjusted people in our country? Our world is hard enough when you have loving parents. Children know when they are wanted or not wanted. Why would any charitable God-loving person want to do this to any being? It doesn’t make sense!

Aside from treating humans kindly, why would any intelligent person want the population in our country to expand exponentially especially in these financially hard times? Why would anyone advocate criminalizing Planned Parenthood? It doesn’t make sense! For example, what do you get when you take birth control away from poor people – more poor people! Do republicans want our poor people start living in tents along our streets like they do in India? Who will pay for all these forced pregnancy children?

And all this is justified because Chris Smith thinks his “god” wants him to make sure women don’t have sex. It’s odd is that his “god” doesn’t care what men do with their sperm even though every sperm can make a child! Obviously this “god” of Chris Smith is sexist, which from a scientific standpoint doesn’t make any sense. Does he think that a God, who created our vast diverse universe with all its solar systems and divergent forms of life as well as other universes, would differentiate and discriminate a human male from a human female?

There is no difference in the treatment of women between our US Christian religious extremist from the Middle East religious extremist. Except Middle East religious extremist don’t go to strip bars. I’ve asked this before and I’ll ask it again. How can women, or men that have ever loved a woman, vote Republican? It doesn’t make sense. You are supporting a big boy woman haters club!

Chris Smith obviously doesn’t believe in our first amendment rights. This blog is a callout to all Republicans to speak up if you find these policies horrifying!  Please fix your party! I am a registered Independent and would like to have another viable party but the Republican Party seems to only care about white Christian heterosexual rich young men.

WRONG.....Chis Smith wasn't even there. This was some loon that was sitting at his booth.

Maybe you should've viewed the video again before you blogged.

Pretty sad that democ"RATS" are getting that desperate to start making up stories.

Exactly it was HIS table! This was a man speaking CHRIS SMITHS beliefs! Chris Smith is "policy blood brothers" with Todd Akin - the same guy who coined the terms Forcible rape?

Pretty sad that you can only call people names!

Let's talk about the unreligious left zealots who want the rest of us to pay for their birth control, except when that doesn't work, pay for your abortions and when that doesn't work pay for your children. It's a good plan i must admit. How can you lose right?

Let's talk Ben! How can you say left zealots are unreligious? What facts are you using? As far as I can tell, this is just a bully name-calling!
Personally I don’t know any women that are asking for free birth control, we just want it covered under insurance. Remember the medicine in birth control is also used to treat other medical conditions.
Where are these ugly words coming from?

Most copays are higher than the cheap birth control you can get yourself at the Walmart pharmacy. Don't worry under Obamacare it'll be covered. It's called population control. Along with the birth control you'll also get a shortage of doctors, denial of care based on your age and usefulness to society etc. more population control. Foolish.

I really hope you are very young and misguided because you have no idea what yoy are talking about. Do you really think the christian extremes and islamic extremist are the same? I havnt seen any christians stoning or beating women in the town square lately. You did a lot of name calling in your piece so if you are going to dish it out, please be woman enough to expect it back. I am a woman and a republican and am so sick of hearing woman only talk about abortion and birth control. Do you really think some ninnyhammer from NJ is going to make birth control illegal. It doesnt even warrent a response and then to draw such extreme conclusions from it makes no sense. Wake up and smell the issues! An ecomony that is no way near recovery and most people dont even know how we got here. Blaming Bush is convenient for people who have no clue about economincs. The middle east is in flames and we just had another terrorist attack and our ambassador brutally killed. Europe is falling off the ecomonic cliff and obama wants to follow. Hey as long as i can have birth control and kill an uwanted baby.,.who cares!!!

These are religious extremists:

Yes, that happened in the United States of America! Christians were attacked by fanatics and the police turned a blind eye and let it happen. Do you have any idea what those extremists in this video have instore for you young unmarried women that are in need of birth control and abortions. Sharia law, that's what their goal is. Wake up. The phoney "war on women" concocted by the BHO Administration is not real but what you see in this video is REAL.

Great Hoax and Melissa: Calling me stupid, is in fact bully behavior. Shame on you!
Melissa, if you think money is worth more than human rights and our first amendment rights, that is your choice. If you don’t care that women are paid less for equal work than men, and gay people are discriminated against, again that’s your choice! As far as stoning women in the US, they were burned under religious rule right here in our country not that long ago – remember history repeats itself. So if you want find out what will happen to women just look at 16th-18th Century Europe!!!
Great Hoax, “Christians” have attacked and murdered people at many many Planned Parenthood locations; all in the name of god.
Isn’t funny how republicans only talk god when it comes to abusing our first amendment rights but when it comes to helping each other they suddenly forget the teaching of their gods.

So its ok that you name call in your piece but not the other way around? I just call them as i see them. There are already laws in place that make it illegal for a woman to be paid less than a man and yes it happens and there are many woman who have won lawsuits for that discrrimination. You again show your extreme ignorance when you compare christianity in the 16th century to present day christanity. You have no idea what a person does or does not do to help people, again, just sheer ignorance. You are the type of woman thag makes women seem irrational and uneducated.

btw- the promise of money is vaporware! What’s behind this mystery budget that Romney said he had Harvard evaluate it but he can’t give any details about it? Romney said he would cut tax write-offs but hasn’t told the citizens what those cuts include. Now that’s faith! The sheep follow like he is god!

Melissa, Before you ignorantly bully any further please read up on some of the republican states in our country. For example, Scott Walker just repealed the equal pay act in Wisconsin. There is no equal rights amendment for women that's been passed into law.

Arizona republican legislators are trying to pass a law that would allow employees the right to fire women just for using birth control.
This is the republican agenda!
