AT&T's got you covered Belmar
There's a new cell site in town providing enhanced wireless coverage for AT&T customers in Belmar. The new site is providing expanded coverage along Route 18 between exits 6C and 7 and also along Route 138 between the Parkway and River Road.
“As more and more residents of Monmouth County rely on their mobile devices for information and connectivity, they must have faster connections,” said J. Michael Schweder, president, AT&T Mid-Atlantic. “Investments in mobile Internet will have an immediate impact for our consumers and local businesses.”
Over the past five years, AT&T invested more than $115 billion into operations and into acquiring spectrum and other assets that have enhanced our wireless and wired networks. Since 2007, AT&T has invested more capital into the U.S. economy than any other public company. In a July 2012 report, the Progressive Policy Institute ranked AT&T No. 1 on its list of U.S. “Investment Heroes.”

The author is a PR employee of AT&T. If I ran Patch, I would immediately fire the employee who allowed AT&T to obtain free advertising under the guise of "Local Voices."

I had to put on my boots while reading this. I have t-mobile and it works just fine for
me along the coast. I do own the stock, "T" pays a nice dividend compared to bank rates.

These two cell towers are 2 miles from Belmar. There are already two AT&T sites in Belmar, one at the Mayfair and one at the Rat tower. This writer obviously has an ulterior motive. If AT&T wants to improve their service they should be installing backup generators at their sites, like Verizon has. This is why Verizon customers had service after the hurricane and nobody else did.
