The Governor is right it has taken way too long for the Congress to act on this aid package. Of course something that is missing is, why it did not pass sooner? Well it seems, to paraphrase Rahm Emanuel, some would not let a good disaster go to waste and inserted a lot pork into the bill. Should the Super Storm Sandy relief bill include planting trees in Ohio and projects in the North West and West Coast? I think not, I believe that if those “good politicians” had not been so intent on enhancing their career at the discomfort of others, the bill would have passed on the first vote.
