Squan Lifting Restricted Access from Bridges to Beach
Residents must first obtain a pass at the DCI
From the Borough of Manasquan:
Manasquan is lifting the restricted access to the area from the bridges to the beach beginning 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, officials said.
However, in order to access this area, you must first obtain a pass, which can only be obtained at the DCI, Recreation Center at 67 Atlantic Avenue, on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Beginning Monday, passes will be available at Borough Hall from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Beginning Saturday, one pass will be issued to allow two adults in one vehicle at a time.
Passes will only be issued to property owners, renters and businesses with proof of residency in this area.
Examples of proof can be a property tax bill, license, utility bill, lease, or any official document that has your name and listing an address which is located in the area between the Bridges and Beach.
If the property is not a primary residence, officials will have tax information available to verify ownership. No Children will be allowed at this time.
You may bring a contractor, insurance adjuster, cleaners, etc., but in total only two people, will be allowed to enter at a time.
You may leave the area, but you must have the same pass to re-enter.
When you receive your pass, you will be allowed to enter from Main Street. Leaving the area can be accomplished by exiting out of Main Street or Ocean Avenue. Glimmer Glass Bridge is Closed. There will be no other access into the area from the Bridges to the Beach other than Main Street.
