Squan, Belmar Schools Closed Monday, Tuesday
Most nearby Monmouth districts closed in advance of storm
Manasquan schools and Belmar Elementary School will be closed Monday and Tuesday as the region braces for the impact of Hurricane Sandy.
Nearby, the following districts will be closed Monday and Tuesday: Sea Girt, Bradley Beach, Neptune, Brielle,
Avon will not hold classes on Monday.
Additionally, the Manasquan Board of Education meeting scheduled for Tuesday night has been cancelled and will be rescheduled at a later date.
Coastal Manasquan residents must evacuate by 2 p.m. today. The mandatory order affects all areas east of the bridges, including the beachfront, Deep Creek Drive and Glimmer Glass Circle, according to a borough release.
All residents within those areas must leave by 2 p.m. Sunday, the release says.
