Spring Lake Woman Charged in False Explosion Report

Reported "impending explosion" at Neptune building, police say

 

A Spring Lake woman made her first appearance in Superior Court this week facing charges she falsely reported an impending explosion at a building in Neptune, records show.

Pamela E. West, 46, of New Bedford Road, on Monday initiated a report of an impending explosion to authorities knowing it would likely cause an evacuation of the building or public alarm, the criminal complaint says. 

West was arrested Tuesday by Neptune Police and appeared before Judge John G. Colannino in Freehold on Wednesday, records show. 

Her bail has been set at $20,000 with a ten-percent option, records show.
