MANASQUAN - The effects of what could be the biggest story of our lives was captured by photographer Tom McKelvey, who caught these images of a small boat trying to navigate heavy surf off the Shark River Inlet Sunday afternoon.

We are looking for people to provide a service, and inform the readers about the effects of the first hurricane to directly strike the Jersey Shore in recorded history.

My friends's brother, Robert T Mason of Belmar, NJ, has not been heard from since Monday. He would have contacted his family by now unless something was wrong. He needs his meds, etc. Any help on finding someone in this type of situation? Cops say he is not a missing person. Sincerely, Geni Newell
