Second Meeting Called to Discuss Super's Performance
Manasquan School Board meeting Aug. 14 in closed session; no action to be taken
The Manasquan School Board has scheduled its second meeting in as many months to discuss the performance of Superintendent of Schools Geraldine Margin.
The closed session meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Aug. 14 at the Elementary School, according to a notice from the district's business administrator and board secretary, Margaret M. Hom.
Officials previously have declined to comment on details surrounding the meetings, but the board last month passed a resolution to set aside an additional $20,000 in legal fees for its attorney, R. Armen McComber.
McComber has said the district is involved in "more than one, less than five" items of actual or possible litigation.
One of those items is a suit filed by the ice hockey rink -- which has accused the district of being in breach of its contract -- used by the High School's team last season, but any others are still considered closed-session items.

Why? What has she done to cause the board to spend tens of thousands of tax payers dollars on lawyers?
