Rebuilding Belmar, Manasquan in the Coming Weeks

Ongoing:

Belmar continues to lay boardwalk decking as part of the massive $6.59 million rebuilding of its destroyed boardwalk.

April 5: Deadline for those interested in running mobile concessions on Manasquan beachfront to apply for consideration.

April 6: Manasquan has scheduled a town-wide clean-up day with the help of volunteers of the borough's parks and lakes.

April 27: Clean Ocean Action will hold its 28th Annual Beach Sweeps, an event where volunteers clean debris from local beaches.

April 30: Belmar established a deadline for the boardwalk rebuilding contract. If Epic Construction has the boardwalk completed by April 30, the company receives a bonus, and if not, it will start accruing daily fines.

May 1: Manasquan is working toward having a fully operational beachfront with concessions beginning May 1.

May 22: Belmar is planning a ribbon-cutting to officially open its beach and boardwalk.

Memorial Day Weekend: Bradley Beach and Belmar are among the towns planning to have their boardwalks open for Memorial Day.

June 1: Sea Girt plans to have its boardwalk open, from Beacon to New York.
