There, he met with emergency personnel and local residents to talk about a storm that nearly destroyed the local boardlwak, and put many others in limbo.

Wait a second, Not a hypocrite, yes...Romney gave $, for one, to a family whose home was destroyed by fire. Also paid for college ed for another family who needed the money and never asked for a dime in return. There are many more, just do your homework before you make stupid, untrue comment!

I paid into SS and worked since I was 17 full time! However, I do not collect SS since I planned for the future correctly and was able to retire early and no, not on medicare either. I pay my own health insurance. Again, i don't need the government to help support me.
As far as welfare people in my neighborhood, I would welcome them with open arms if they had a broom or shovel in their hand!

I get a kick out of the running commentary about Mitt Romney on this story. I know that with the storm and power outages folks may still be unaware that Obama was re-elected. One more note to self - Bush has not been our president for nearly 4 years. Perhaps you may want to share with us exactly the specifics of Obama's stellar performance over this past term because I've never heard him take responsibility for anything and he sure does have quite the following running a lot of defense for him . I must have missed his myriad of accomplishments because the people in my life are hurting economically unlike they have ever before (even under Jimmy Carter). A dose of honesty would be appreciated.

You may wish to read the question, before spewing a non-answer. I guess that whole unemployment rate thing is Romney's fault too or is it simply that the number isn't high enough for your liking. My gut tells me that the slim majority of Americans who re-elected President Obama aren't hurting nearly enough. Peter....folks in Iowa get to pay for both?!?! Probably not the best argument. I'm not retired and still pay for Social Security (which BTW....I will never see in my lifetime). I also have never sent my kids to public school, but the biggest chunk of my property taxes still fund public education. We pay for an awful lot of things that we never directly benefit from. I'm OK with some of it but am SO NOT OK with the volume of waste, inefficiency, nepotism, vote buying and overspending.
