Pair Indicted on Theft, Forgery Charges
Men allegedly attempted cashing forged check in Bradley Beach
Two Monmouth County men were indicted by a grand jury Tuesday on charges they tried cashing a $3500 check at a Bradley Beach bank in January, Superior Court documents show.
George G. Mazyck, 22, of Neptune and Paul Y. Kim, 29, of Holmdel each face two counts stemming from a Jan. 11 incident in which they are alleged to have attempted cashing a forged check worth $3560 that belonged to a victim identified as "R.A." at a Chase Bank in the borough, the indictment says.
The men are charged with uttering a forged instrument and attempted theft of movable property, the indictment says. Both are third-degree crimes.
The indictment, handed up by a Freehold grand jury, was signed by county Prosecutor Peter E. Warshaw Jr.
