Pair From Wall Charged With Burglary Of Route 34 Business

Bill's Work Clothes burglarized on Tuesday

Two Wall men were arrested and charged following a break-in at a Route 34 retailer, police said.

Vincent Petrucelli, 20, of Shadowbrook Drive and Christopher Hayes, 19, of Sea Girt Ave., were arrested and charged in connection with the Tuesday night burglary of Bill’s Work Clothes, 2369 Route 34, Lt. Walter Pomphrey said.

Police arrived at the clothing retailer around 9:45 p.m. after an alarm at the store had been tripped, alerting authorities. Officers spotted a black pickup truck in the lot and a man fleeing into the woods behind the store. More police arrived, along with a K-9 unit. A search to Ramshorn Drive turned up empty, Pomphrey said.

The rear door to the clothing store had pry marks and other damage, and police turned their attention to the pickup truck, which was registered to Petrucelli’s address on Shadowbrook Drive, Pomphrey said.

Petrucelli and Hayes were arrested and charged with a single count each of third degree burglary, fourth degree possession of buglary tools, fourth degree criminal mischief and fourth degree resisting arrest, Pomphrey said.

Bail was set at $23,000 each. The pair was release after posting bond, Pomphrey said.

How? What can Wall do to prevent kids from taking drugs? Parents need to take more responsibility for their children. I don't look to Wall Twp to solve problems. How much more class time or literature needs to be printed to show kids the dangers of drugs. Read the papers, watch the news, kids are killing each other over BMX bike parts. Why would you blame the school for that?? It's the family and society as a whole that must take responsibility. Value life not property.

No one even knows these kids. They did something stupid. Maybe it is because there is nothing to do in wall and the people in wall are snobby ignorant people.. Stop acting like you know everything about them because you don't.

Ok, let me try this again. Are you kidding me? Nothing to do in Wall? They are 19 and 20 years old. How about going to college or getting a job. This is the problem with America. People making excuses for “kids”, well guess what, they are men. Not real men, kind of wussies, but men. There are “kids” younger than these two losers over in Iraq right now. Ha, nothing to do, give me a break!

I know Vincent and we are not friends, not have we spoken in a long time. He has been attending college while working full time managing a business. He works harder then most 40 year old men I know. Drugs and stealing occur in Wall to Camden. It is not the town or the wealth, or the boredom...it is being lost.

When someone falls off their horse, don't let them drag through the mud and sink even deeper. Help these guys out. They are crying for help.

Finally everyone today is so fast to bash someone when they are down. He who is among you without sin can be the first one to cast a stone. Otherwise, pray for these two and wish them to turn it around.

Shadow: It is so nice you know Vincent. Also, your comment about who among us is without sin - well the answer is nobody.

A better question is who is facing 3-10 years for a felony break-in? I am going to quess nobody once again.

Get off your soapbox.
