Neptune City Fire Sends One Resident to Hospital

Dog also rescued from Laird Avenue fire.

 

The Neptune City Police, Fire Department and First Aid Squad were dispatched to a smoke condition at 8 Laird Ave. on Friday, March 15.

The fire occurred around the p.m. and was contained to one of house's bedrooms.

One of the house's residents was transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center for injuries sustained during the blaze. A black dog was also rescued from the house by firefighters.

The Neptune City Police, Fire Department and the Monmouth County Fire Marshall are investigating the cause of the fire.
