Multiple Pedestrians Struck Near Main & 13th in Belmar
Police still on scene, no detours in place at 4:20 p.m.
Belmar police are on the scene of an incident where multiple pedestrians were struck shortly before 4 p.m., officals said.
Police headquarters confirmed the pedestrians were struck near Main Street and 13th Avenue in Belmar, which is near the park and elementary school.
Police would not confirm the ages or number of pedestrians struck, and said emergency responders were still at the scene and had yet to report back to headquarters before 4:20 p.m.
No detours or lane closures are in place at this time, police said.

Belmar has no bicycle lanes, very little decent pedestrian striping, and even in the summer no enforcement or protection of pedestrian rights (save for at the start and finish of school). The locals don't matter, ergo, kids on bicycles getting hit.

I drive a school bus and drop there every day,, you wont believe the A-Holes that drive right through the red stop lights.
