A fire that started in a wall in an oceanfront home in Bradley Beach was extinguished this morning — the second fire this week in the small seaside town.
Fire departments from Bradley Beach were assisted by crews from Avon, Neptune, Asbury Park and Belmar in the 800 block of Ocean Avenue around 11:30 a.m., according to Bradley Beach Fire Capt. John McLoughlin.
One resident was inside the home at the time of the fire. There were no injuries, McLoughlin said.
The fire started in a wall of the home, McLoughlin said. Crews were able to extinguish the blaze before it reached the roof of the structure. No other homes were involved, McLoughlin said.
Crews were on scene for about an hour.
The fire was the second this week in Bradley Beach.
