Manasquan Man Charged with Spitting on Cop
Also used physical force against officers during his arrest, police say
A Manasquan man is due in court next week on charges he spit on a borough police officer, documents show.
Miguel A. Sanchez, 36, of Main Street, was arrested Nov. 17 for knowingly ejecting from his mouth at a Manasquan cop "in the performance of his duty," the criminal complaint says.
Sanchez also allegedly used force and/or violence to prevent two officers from arresting him, the complaint says.
Both charges are fourth-degree crimes, the complaint says.
Sanchez is scheduled to appear nov. 24 in municipal court, the complaint says.
His bail was set at $10,000 with no ten-percent option.
