The Manasquan School Board on Tuesday appointed two new members to fill the seats vacated last month by Trisha Brown and Jim Smith.
The board also decided to table for its next meeting discussion on whether to implement a policy to breathalyze the High School's students at dances and possibly other events.
Varsity soccer players will also have to wait at least a few more weeks to call The Atlantic Club in Wall home after one board member raised player health and safety concerns since one licensed athletic trainer would have to cover three fields in as many towns during on fall gamedays.
The board decided to table the agreement between the district and the sports club until officials are satisfied the trainer would not be overextended. Hiring an assistant trainer at least part time was also discussed as a possible contigency.

Great coverage Charlie. Let's hope the unanimous approval for two new members is a big step towards things changing and sends a strong message to all that the games are over at the manasquan board of education. Time to do the business at hand and sounds like they did last night, fast and professional.
