Police: Eight Bikes Stolen in Two Weeks

Manasquan police report several recent thefts, two burglaries

Manasquan police the last two weeks have responded to several reports of thefts, including eight bikes, two purses and a set of tools, authorities said.

There also was a burglary reported late last month on Fletcher Avenue, and another Aug. 9 on Beachfront, according to a release from the Manasquan Police Department.

Bike thefts are an ongoing problem in the borough, and police have asked residents to make sure their bikes are locked up or stored in a safe place, like a garage or home.
