Bradley Woman Indicted on Child Endangerment
Charges allege abuse or neglect of a 4-year-old
A Bradley Beach woman was indicted last week on charges of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, documents show.
Joanne Ventresco, 54 of LaReine Avenue, was indicted July 18 by a Freehold grand jury on charges she allegedly abused and/or neglected a 4-year-old under her care last spring in West Long Branch, the indictment says.
Ventresco faces one count of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, the indictment says.
Ventresco, the indictment says, committed the alleged crime while having a legal duty or assumed responsibility for the unnamed child.
Ventresco caused "harm which would make the child an abused or neglected child," the indictment alleges.
The indictment was signed by acting County Prosecturor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.
