Belmar Police Charge Nine With Improper Behavior

Last throes of summer busy as ever for borough cops

Belmar police during the second half of August made nine arrests related to improper behavior charges, authorities said. 

All but one individual were from out of town, but several were local residents, according to a release from the Belmar Police Department. 

Many of the arrests took place on Ocean Avenue or the boardwalk between 16th and 18th avenues, the release says.

One of the arrests took place at the Belmar train station, while another two were on Highway 35, or River Road. 

The following individuals were arrested between Aug. 13 and Aug. 26 in Belmar:

  • Jason Summers, 24, of Keyport, was arrested Aug. 16 at the 11th Avenue boardwalk and charged with improper behavior. Special Officer Anthony Steneck made the arrest.
  • Carlos Pagan, 22, of Temple Terrace, Fla., was arrested Aug. 16 at the 11th Avenue boardwalk and charged with improper behavior. Special Officer Rocco Belloni made the arrest.   
  • Corey Menchini, 22, of Howell, was arrested Aug. 17 at 18th and Ocean Avenues and charged with improper behavior and resisting arrest. Special Officer Anthony Steneck made the arrest.  
  • Nicholas Roman, 22, of Woodland Park, was arrested Aug. 19 at 16th and Ocean Avenues and charged with improper behavior and obstruction. Special Officer Daniel Schlisserman made the arrest.  
  • Robert Rebelo, 27, of Hoboken, was arrested Aug. 19 at 18th and Ocean Avenues and charged with improper behavior. Special Officer Christopher Makwinsky made the arrest.  
  • Jessica Ruiz, 23, of Oradell, was arrested Aug. 19 at 16th and Ocean Avenues and charged with improper behavior and obstruction. Special Officer Michael Dilieto made the arrest.  
  • Carolyn Rush, 49, of Parsippany, was arrested Aug. 21 at Highway 35 and 11th Avenue and charged with improper behavior and hindering apprehension. Sgt. Todd Lee made the arrest.  
  • Michael Dorata, 21, of Red Bank, was arrested Aug. 21 at the Belmar train station and charged with improper behavior. Special Officer Daniel Schlisserman made the arrest.  
  • John Crook, 28, of Belmar, was arrested Aug. 23 in the 1200 block of River Road and charged with improper behavior. Officers Ryan Nolan and Nicholas Walsifer made the arrest.
