Belmar Man Robbed by Son
Montvale man allegedly stole $3000 in cash and property from father's home
A Montvale man made his first appearance in Superior Court Friday stemming from an incident last week in which authorities allege he robbed his father's Belmar home of $3000 in cash and goods, documents show.
Dale J. Castronovo, 38, appeared before Judge John G. Colannino in Freehold facing charges that on April 28 he burglarized his father's Ninth Avenue home and made off with $1500 in cash and a laptop computer worth another $1500, the criminal complaint says.
Castronovo allegedly entered the premises by force, the complaint says.
Castronovo, in addition to burglary and theft charges, was also charged with violating provisions of an order entered under the provisions of the Prevention of Domestic Violence Act, the complaint says.
His bail was set at $25,000 with no ten percent option, documents show.

I guess Christmas morning is going to be a tad uncomfortable at the Castronovo house this year.
