Belmar Man Indicted on Burglary, Theft Charges
Allegedly burglarized West Long Branch home, stole jewelry from woman in Wall
A Belmar man was indicted last week on charges stemming from two separate incidents last year in which he allegedly burglarized a West Long Branch home and stole jewelry from a person in Wall, making off with $1000 in property.
Terrence M. Blaney, 48, of Ocean Avenue, was indicted by a Superior Court grand jury last week and faces two counts involving the alleged burglary, that took place between June 27 and July 1 of last year, and another count involving the jewelry theft that happened Sept. 29, the indictment says.
Blaney allegedly entered a West Long Branch residence last summer and made off with a Nintendo DS and/or an iPod Touch, valued greater than $500, the indictment says.
More than two months later, Blaney allegedly mugged more than $500 worth of jewelry from a woman in Wall, the indictment says.
Blaney faces two counts of theft of movable property and one count of burglary, the indictment says. All are third-degree crimes.
